Hey look, I'm putting the recipe first so you don't have to scroll and scroll to get to it! :)

MAKE YOUR OWN PLAY DOUGH AT HOME!

1 Cup Water ½ Cup Salt 3 tsp Liquid Water Color* or Food Coloring 2 TBLS. Oil 2 tsp. Cream of Tartar 1-3 TBLS glitter (optional) 1-2 tsp vanilla or peppermint extract** 1 Cup Flour + 1/4 Cup Flour as needed while kneading

In a saucepan over low heat, mix all ingredients except flour.

Once ingredients are combined and starting to heat up, add flour. Keep stirring until mixture starts forming a dough ball. Remove from heat.

Dump onto counter, knead (careful, it’s hot!). If it is too sticky, add some more flour (I usually add about 1/4 C more flour). Let cool.

Store in a sealed container or a zip top bag and it will last a long time!

*I love the bright colors of Colorations Liquid Water Color, which can be purchased at Discount School Supply or on Amazon. But, food coloring works great, too!

** I think play dough smells yucky. I always add a scent to my play dough. You can use ANY extract you want! Vanilla is my “go to” because it is what I usually have in the house, but I’ve used lemon, peppermint, even coffee! Get creative!
