GENNIE GORBACK

Gennie (pronounced "Jenny") Gorback is an Early Childhood Educator with a Masters of Education in Teaching and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from University of California, Santa Barbara. She's held the Program Director Permit, which is the highest level of Child Development Permit given by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. She has been working with young children for 15+ years with a focus on the Pre-K/TK age group (4 and 5 year olds). She is the founder and (only) consultant at Kindling Education. 

Gennie writes early childhood curriculum for Hoogalit, Inc, where she creates content for a family of Amazon Alexa Apps called AskMyClass and AskMyKid, curriculum for the the Early Literacy App Sound Town, and helps manage the Early Literacy Club website. 

Gennie supports educators by promoting learning through play and developmentally appropriate practices through her work on the Board of Directors for the California Kindergarten Association. She was elected board president for the 2021-2023 term, and currently serves the role of Past President. 

Gennie lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her college sweetheart, two young daughters, and two cats. In her spare time, she writes picture books.
